the critical debate in architecture must move beyond the blob vs. the box. the exploration of form as an end-in-itself is no longer delivering radical shifts. for the past ten years, architecture has focused on computationally intensive geometry. now, it must engage the territory presented by the network, both as a site for a new kind of architecture, and as a tool for rethinking the nature of design as a cultural construct.

clinton smackdown on weeny fox news guy
ok, i'm not in any way trying to make this a political blog, but this is just too damn funny...
It is classic Bill Clinton: the intelligence, the adroitness, the self-pity, the villainization of those who have the effrontery to challenge him, the belief in a vast right wing conspiracy, the defensiveness, the selective memory, the inability to accept responsibility, the icky sliminess. The clip is two years old, but it's as fresh as this morning's garbage.
I am in the third year of the graduate program at the Southern California Institute of Architecture in L.A. I will complete my thesis September 2008. My undergraduate degree was in molecular biology/ neuroscience.
